I am sure you will agree that if there is one
key ingredient to being success at anything, it’s being
persistent. What I love about being persistent is that you
don’t have to be smart or have some special talent.
I think it’s very obvious that the benefits of
being persistent are priceless. As challenging as things can be
in our personal lives we need all the skills possible to keep
moving forward in order to obtain the results we are seeking.
If you have a plan and are persistent you will
get results. The key is to be persistent without the use of
willpower. As you already know willpower doesn’t last long. When
you woke up this morning you didn’t tell yourself, “self, start
breathing,” or “self, start blinking,” you just did it. No
thinking to it.
Imagine having this same natural reflex when it
comes to being persistent. Think about everything that you have
to do on an hourly, daily or weekly basis. Now think about what
it would be like if you could approach each thing on your list
without having a mental battle – without putting off what should
be done now. You can also imagine the personal rewards that you
would enjoy.
Maybe you are just burned out and you’ve lost
some of that drive you once had. Maybe you are easily
discouraged. Let’s say, for example, that you are in sales. In
this case, your challenge may be balancing your persistence.
Although you know that calling your customers will eventually
result in sales, you may feel as though you are bothering your
prospective customer. You’ll know how to solve that problem
after this program.
We are not talking about having a persistent
mindset through positive thinking. Positive thinking is like
spray paint on rust. It doesn’t last long. When you finish this
program you will know what being persistent really means as you
work toward achieving your goals with fun and ease.

What Sets Gary
Apart... |
|
"I was most impressed! While speakers
I have seen have whipped the audience up into passion
and enthusiasm with their speaking dynamic, their
positive message, and their guidelines for success in
life or business, too often the impact of the talk and
of the just-do-these-things-and-you'll-be-successful-too
concept wanes as the emotional impact of the experience
wears off and the ideas become ethereal and elusive.
I am not saying that listening to
these speakers was not a positive experience, or that I
have not learned some valuable lessons, for I have. But,
what sets Gary apart is that he makes the concepts real,
he turns the intangible into the tangible, and gives his
audience practical implementable techniques that they
can use on a continuing basis to master their lives.
It is fine to quote Shakespeare and
say, "Nothing is right or wrong, except thinking makes
it so." Gary demonstrates, in a dynamic way, the truth
of that statement and shows how a mere shift in
perspective can catalyze profound and lasting changes.
What I learned earlier this year has stayed with me. I
have grown, become more confident, vanquished fears, and
become able to transform irrational thought into
rational control."

CDs 1-6
CD 1
I will start off focusing on two
key points in this session. The first is what you can do to
maintain a persistent mindset and how to continue improving in this
area...(More)
I will focus on a key benefit that being persistent will give you.
Once you have this mastered you will see results immediately.
From there, we will delve in to the creation of the correct
mindset in order to be appropriately persistent when calling or
contacting people. The challenge here is that if you continue
calling, you feel as though you will upset the customer. After
learning these techniques you will immediately eliminate these
thoughts and watch your persistent mindset go in to overdrive.
We will also cover the concept of irrational optimism. Are you
irrationally optimistic? Do you develop an idea or goal and begin
with such unrealistic expectations that you very quickly give up or
“fall off the horse”? This fall takes you from an emotional high to
a painful low – putting you back at square one and feeling as though
you have accomplished nothing. You will learn how to diagnose
irrational optimism and more importantly how to prevent it.
Continuing to build on controlling your emotions, you will learn
how to master the ability to keep a “No” from affecting you
mentally. Since there’s no question that the more persistent you are
the more “No’s” you will get, it is important to keep moving forward
in order to achieve the results you are seeking.
On the other end of the spectrum we will discuss how to determine
at what point it is necessary to stop being persistent. You will
learn when it is no longer worth your time to pursue a prospect or
an idea. This one key solution will save you tons of wasted time
while allowing you to make more money.
We will wrap up by gaining a proper understanding of the saying
“Success is a journey, not a destination.” This understanding allows
you to continue your persistence and avoid the emotional roller
coaster.
CD 2
To continue to be successful at
anything it’s important that we maintain a level of drive and
enthusiasm. This is incredibly important..(More)
If you have had goals in the past but lost
the drive or enthusiasm to complete them mid-way, you must first
determine why this is happening. Without this understanding, it will
be impossible to regain your drive and enthusiasm. It doesn’t take a
rocket scientist to determine that without drive and enthusiasm you
are not likely to achieve your goal. I will share with you a key
point in controlling and managing your drive and enthusiasm so that
you are properly in the driver’s seat with full control and at full
throttle.
One of the things that you will notice is that
I do not offer a bunch of pump up, rah rah stuff. Permanent and
consistent change comes from finding the mental blocks that slow us
down and then changing them. This is where you begin to learn how to
shift your thinking process so that your negative thoughts and
feelings do not prevent you from moving forward.
CD 3
If you don’t have the right mindset
while trying to be persistent you could be setting yourself up for
failure. I remember when the thought of being a failure used to
consume my thoughts. Who wants to keep moving forward when they feel
like a failure? I know I don’t!.(More)
We are going to discuss the process of
managing thoughts and feelings of failure. Be prepared to watching
feelings of failure disappear once you’ve learned how to master this
session. It has worked for me and it will work for you as well!
As you might know by now, I have gone through
many negative things in my life time. I have truly experienced more
tragedy in my life than five or ten people combined. These
experiences have taught me the one key mental ingredient that has
allowed me to keep moving forward toward my goals. Without this
ingredient I could surely fail. I am going to share with you ways to
have that ingredient in abundance.
We will also discuss clear and concise ways to
stay focused.
CD 4
Have you ever said something like,
“When it rains it pours”? Sure you have! This is a sure killer
to any persistent attitude you might have. Do you ever hear people
saying statements like this when things are going their way?
Certainly not!..(More)
This is just one of the several statements
that I call Attitude Adjusting statements. The moment you say them
you instantly put the brakes on to obtaining your success and it
affects your attitude immediately. I am going to show you how to
remove these statements from your thinking so that you will continue
to win, win, win.
We all have the tendency to get stuck in a
comfort zone that doesn’t serve us. It can seem so painful to leave
it. I will be discussing with you how you can break that pattern.
The key benefit you get from mastering this is that you won’t keep
starting something and then soon stop. It will enhance your ability
to stay consistent toward your goals.
At this point it is time to create your own
personal leverage list. I will share with you how to use this list
to create even more of a persistent attitude. This is one of the
most effective ways I know to go from a lack of drive to a burst of
motivation – you’re going to love this one!
You will also learn my process to change your
negative thoughts and associations toward fear or being persistent.
There is great danger in having negative associations toward our
goals; we will never move forward. My goal in this segment is to
show you how to keep this from happening so that taking action
toward your goals becomes enjoyable. This segment is a great eye
opener.
CD 5
One thing that used to make it very
difficult for me to move forward was the fact that so many things I
tried seemed to fail. Nothing ever seemed to work for me. I
wanted to figure out a way to stop these thoughts and feelings from
controlling me...(More)
I created a simple three step process that
I use to train myself to keep my dreams alive. Once you master this
process you will be amazed as to how quickly you can bounce back and
keep taking action toward your goals.
Have you ever stopped to take the time to
think about how much you accomplish right before leaving for a
vacation? You can literally do five days of work in three days to be
ready for that well deserved trip.
Now imagine if you could take that trip in
your mind every day? You would accomplish a great amount on a day to
day basis and usually have fun doing it. I am going to use this
concept with you and teach you how to take that trip in your mind
every day. You will see your levels of persistence and drive
increase which will convert to results.
In all my years of working toward my goals I
have noticed that there seemed to be one other key ingredient that
kept me focused and consistent. It was a state of mind. There are
many different states of minds that we can adopt. I am going to
share with you one state and how to master it. Be prepared to be
unstoppable after you learn to master this one.
You are also going to hear incredible stories
of people who seemed to have had an unbelievable amount of failure
in their lives. I will also share with you their many successes.
You’ll be both inspired and motivated to keep reaching for your
goals after listening to these amazing stories.
CD 6
We can often feel as if we are the
only one going through ...(More)
our own individual problems, causing us to feel lonely and
lose drive. Here is your opportunity to hear some incredible success stories
from great icons. You will surely realize you are not alone. After listening to
this session you will realize that you can accomplish anything that you set your
mind to.
We will also review the entire program. I highly recommend
using this final CD as a review session every month. This will be a great way to
keep you on track and always know “Persistence, What It Really Means!”.
